Photo Session

These are pictures from Cameron's photo session for anyone who didn't get to see them.  I am not doing them full justice because I compressed them to upload faster.  My friend is a professional photographer and does an awesome job http://ashliephotography.com/blog/.  I can make prints of any of these poses if anyone wants them.  My favorite is the last one!

Dance

We put Em was in a dance class because she wanted to be like Becca and go to class.  She cried most days when it was time for dance class but she seemed to have a good time.  This is her performance.  Yeah - no more coaxing a crying 3 year old to put on her leotard and go to class.  Isn't she cute though!  Sorry for the shaky filming, I kept waving back at her so she wouldn't wave at me the whole dance.

And of course we have to put more pictures of Cam.  This is his Munster mohawk, hippo yawn and beautiful proud big sister.

Binky

I love binkies and so does Cameron.  None of my other children would like them and Cam loved his from day one.  We finally have a binky lover and so far I think it's great.  We will probably go through about 500 of them between now and who knows when but I think it will be well worth it.  Hooray for binkies and babies who love them!

This is Cameron in his ruggedly handsome sleep sack - not a night gown!

So we're walking into Chipotle on Monday night after Becca's play practice; I have Em's hand she has Becca's who's holding Matt's who has Cameron in his carrier.  Matt and I look across at each other and notice how wide we stretch across now and are both thinking " A family of five, wow - how did this happen?!"  I think it's starting to get real.  I love having a little boy to complete our family, it's exciting to think about all the new experiences we'll get with him.  If only he liked his bed life would be perfect.  Remember Matt didn't like the Bassinet well now Cameron doesn't like it either.  He likes to sleep in Daddy's arms, in Mommy's arms, on the couch, in my bed and in his car seat but that is all.  I'm just thankful that Matt and I can take turns at night letting each other get some sleep.

I think we are adjusting well.  Cameron chased the girls around the house tonight and Em really got a kick out of it.  She hasn't wanted much to do with the new baby, she touches his tiny fingers and rubs his silky hair but that's about it.  After he chased them she actually gave him a hug.  Becca and Em play together better and they like to play on the computer most of the day.  I don't like that much but for now it works and they are happy.  Em and I read lots of books while Cameron eats or while I rest.  Sometimes I doze off in the middle of the story and wake up to Em screaming "What does this one say!"  They can also swim still - Matt and I think it's too cold but they don't - so I can relax and watch them while they play and Cameron even came out the other day.  It's probably good for him to get out in natural light sometimes.  He gained 9 oz in the last 5 days so he is getting some chub on his skinny little legs.  We love our little Cam guy!

Stats:  He was born Monday at 5:17 PM and was 8lbs 10oz 20.5 inches long
